Chili Mac

Pop Pop’s Chili Mac is a super hearty meal that is fabulous served alone or with sweet English peas as a side.  The kiddos will adore it and so will you when dinner is made in under an hour.  It will be your new favorite go-to dish.

Infused Oils & Flavored Salts

Homemade Infused Oils & Flavored Salts are a wonderful addition to your everyday pantry staples.   These oils and salts add tremendous flavor to dressings and sautéed vegetables.  During the spring and summer months when your garden is bursting at the seams with peppers and you cannot bare the thought of making another batch of salsa (like that is even possible. HA!), it is great to have another option.

Get yourself a good food dehydrator to make this process easier.   I have used both the oven and my food dehydrator, depending on what I am making.  The habaneros laying on a bed of sea salt while drying in the oven exudes such a delicious scent throughout the house.  It is amazing!

Infused oils

I always use Extra Virgin Olive Oils because that is what I choose to cook with more times than not.

  • Habanero & Jalapeno Infused Oils
  • Habanero Salt (Literally the salt left over from dehydrating the peppers)
  • Habanero Chili Flake
  • Sun Dried Tomatoes

There are many great resources for how to infuse your oils available on the web.  Here are some of my favorites.  Have fun with it and be creative!
