Chocolate and Fruit

The season for chocolates and fruit is upon us, darlings! When is it not, right? Remember that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner…hint, hint!

The strawberries that are showing up at the markets are sweet and juicy. Perfect for dipping in chocolate! It is ridiculously simple to do this yourself and priceless to give your sweetie a homemade treat. Much more economical too!

Or you can be non-traditional and dip dried fruits and nuts to make this spectacular Dried Apricot and Chocolate Sunflower. They are super delish!

All you have to do is melt the chocolate in either the microwave or double boiler, dip the ends, and place on a waxed paper lined tray and allow to set in the fridge. The center of this sunflower is filled with chocolate covered peanuts that I tossed with the left over melted chocolate and spooned onto waxed paper as well. Isn’t it so pretty? Just think how impressed your honey will be.
